What is vibecoding? It’s just using AI to bring a new idea to fruition. In this workshop, kids will learn to translate their bottomless imaginations into prompts for AI. They will learn how to take the resulting code and use it to render their idea on the screen.
The real magic is what happens at that point. Once you see what is possible with the technology, then comes the waterfall of ideas. There is a creative flow to access here in ways that are totally unique to the medium.
The end result is not an app in the way we are used to thinking about it - for consumer purposes. It’s a manifestation of imagination, and a window into the possible.
Join us for this special workshop where the main focus is creating ideas with a sense of humor, a little whimsy, and a lot of confidence. If you can imagine it, you can start building it.
Taught by local maker and technology evangelist Chris Pirillo, this workshop meets from 10:00am to 11:30am on April 12, and is open to kids ages 8 and up.
Requirements for this workshop:
All kids between the ages of 8-11 must be accompanied by a parent to oversee computer use (no extra charge).
Each student must bring a laptop that is already equipped to use Gemini Pro or ChatGPT. A paid tier is not required, but you will likely run into a daily usage limit before the class is over if you are using a free version. Please reach out to us if you have questions.
