Since the summer of 2024, Happy Time has published the Open Studio Newsletter, a place where people can learn about all kinds of events and opportunities in the arts in our area. Our newsletter is distinctive in the region because we:

  • Are easy to contact and will reliably respond

  • Want to include your events and art as much as we can

  • Highlight high-caliber artistry

  • Love to feature opportunities for artists that pay fair compensation

  • Intentionally de-center Seattle, instead centering the many amazing artists and opportunities in King County’s small cities, towns, and rural areas. (We love Seattle and sometimes include amazing things there as well that you cannot find in mainstream publications.)

Founded in 2024, the Open Studio Newsletter began as community listing of events and opportunities in the arts. In 2026, the Open Studio Newsletter began to launch new artist features, podcast interviews with local arts leaders, fundraising Q&A, and special perks for the folks who choose to become paid subscribers. Check it out here!
