Shining Hams: Beginner Sound Production for Kids (Sep-Dec)

Learn to record a song, audiobook, or podcast!

If you're a "Ham" and love freestyling, making up songs or jokes on the spot, reading out loud, or making sound effects, this workshop is for you.

In this special six-week workshop, students can follow their inspiration and learn how to produce basic audio, including exposure to the concepts of using microphones, track editing, and multi tracking.

Free play, emotional, and silly expression is encouraged in this workshop, where we express ourselves through sound using an app that's likely already on your iPad (Garageband or Audacity).

Once you sign up, we can sort out what equipment you would like to bring (iPad or laptop).

All computer use is fully adult supervised and will not include going online.

Taught by local musician and songwriter Kelly Hyde, this special workshop is open to kids ages 7-12.

Workshops are Thursdays in the fall, 12 weeks from September through December.

Cost: $1,000 per student

Each slot is for one student only, although we can make an exception for sibling or friend pairs.

No experience is necessary. All fees are nonrefundable.

These workshops are custom designed to the students in order to be the most effective and enjoyable.

Reach out today for a fall session signup - spots are first come, first served!
