Acrylic Painting: Working with Color (May 2)

Join us for a workshop introducing one of the foundations of painting and many other types of art: color.

This beginner‑friendly class explores how color works in acrylic painting, focusing on color relationships, mixing, and emotional impact. You’ll learn the basics of the color wheel, how to mix clean and harmonious colors, and how warm and cool hues can change the feeling of a painting. We’ll practice creating palettes, avoiding muddy mixes, and making intentional color choices. No prior painting experience needed—just an interest in exploring color and experimenting with paint.

Taught by local painter and printmaker William Cook, this workshop meets from 3:00pm - 6:00pm on May 2 and is open to adults of any skill level. No experience is necessary. All materials provided by Happy Time.
